Before the flood prevention scheme was
introduced in the 1960's, Ruishton suffered from floods. The river Tone occasionally
reminds us that it can still show a darker side, when provoked by a heavy downfall on the
hills. The water soon retreats back to the river, so tomorrow these pictures and a few twig's showing how far the water reached, will be the only evidence that it happened at all. |
